WESTSIDE MEN’S GROUP
In 1997 the Westside Resource Centre sought to support and develop projects aimed at
involving men in the local community and so the initiation of the Men Group developed.
The Men Group use various mediums to address some of the issues facing men in the
Westside Area.
In short space of time the Men Group has established resources with over 90 men involved.
AIMS
- To provide an opportunity for men to meet in a safe non-threatening environment
- To enable men to increase their confidence and skills through workshops and on-going projects.
- To further enhance links with others Men’s Groups locally, regionally and nationally.
- To continue with and develop links various agencies.

Completed a six week course with some members going on to further education courses.
(Ran in conjunction with Dachas Don Oige)
Photography Course
Completed a six week course on learning photography.
The photographs are being exhibited which shows the Westside in a positive light.

GOALS OF THE WESTSIDE MEN’S GROUP
Through the Men’s Group we will strive to improve the quality of life and enhance their opportunities.
Explore men’s role as fathers, brothers, son’s, spouses and examine these roles for the future.
To continue to develop the Men’s Group Project, its service and support for men in the Westside Area.
To continue providing a wide range of projects and services for men in the Westside Area.
